Hey guys, and welcome back to SEGASonic Radio! Apologies for our lack of physical presence online recently - our old host, ‘Zone Radio Network, switched servers and forgot to transfer the whole radio system with them. It was to be fixed on their end several months ago, but nothing came of it. Now the website has mysteriously disappeared off the face of the Earth. A shame. To our old hosts, we salute all the good years you’ve given us!
It won’t take much to assume then, that SEGASonic Radio is no longer hosted at ZRN, but rather is being run entirely by The Sonic Stadium now. This gives us a much easier time updating the playlists to accomodate new game music on the stream, and also means if something goes wrong we can fix it ourselves without going through a middleman. Essentially, this means a fresh new up-to-date SSR for you!
Which brings us to this, our new website. Ain’t it pretty? We’re still touching it up, and may add funky new features in future if we want to or are ever bothered, so keep an eye out. This website will be updated much more frequently too, from SSR’s very own DJ’s and Administrators: Roarey Raccoon is your SSR overlord who will keep you up to date on status issues and suchlike, while DJ’s will announce new shows or keep you informed of schedule changes every now and then. For your convenience, a current week schedule is the first thing you see when you enter SSR’s website.
SSR will often have special events too, and this website will be the place to hear about it. If you want to learn more about a show you can view the LiVECASTS page, and all Podcasts will be available and updated on a regular basis from now on. The only difference in your SSR experience is that shows are broadcast and recorded in OGG format now, and as a result you’ll get podcast downloads in either OGG or will have to wait a little while for the DJ’s to convert to MP3.
We’re interested in your thoughts on the website and SEGASonic Radio; do register to the site (this will be separate from your SSMB Forum Account on The Sonic Stadium) and comment on news and updates as you so fit. It’s nice to hear from the listeners once in a while! May we continue to keep you entertained!
